About Us
Over 60 years ago, in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, my grandfather began handcrafting clay tiles to help his local community. Back then, roofing materials were expensive and hard to transport, so he made the tiles himself—shaping the clay by hand and firing it in homemade kilns.
He didn’t do it for profit—he did it to help. When a neighbor had a leak or needed roof repairs, he was there with his tools, his patience, and his willingness to serve. He never asked for much in return. Most of the time, he was thanked with a warm meal, a fresh stack of tortillas, or a simple cup of coffee.
People respected him not just for what he knew, but for how he carried himself—with humility, dedication, and a genuine smile.
That story stayed with me. And even though times have changed, I still believe that with your hands, your effort, and your heart, you can build more than just a roof—you can build trust, community, and respect.
Why Ridge?
I chose the word Ridge because on a roof, it represents the highest, strongest, and most unifying part—the line that holds everything together and protects what’s beneath it. To me, it stands for exactly what I aim to offer: integrity, strength, and a deep commitment to the people we serve. Just like my grandfather did.
